Everyone,

This is a heads-up on what we are going to be doing next to improve 1up Forums as we open our doors to the community:

1) PM Attachments. We will be able to send attachments in our personal messages here on the forum.

2. XFire Profile. Users will have a field in their profile to post their XFire user name.

3. Ultimate Profile. This is a modification that will allow our user profiles to have all the functions of a myspace profile, with radio and video stuff included.

4. SMF Media Gallery (SMG). This will provide a place on the forum to upload pictures and other media that can be shared. It is a very cool picture sharing program.

5. Aeva (YouTube/video/audio auto-embedder). We will be adding the video embedding support again very quickly.

6. SMF Arcade. This will be a nice area to play some of the older games and many new flash games: a sort of mini-arcarde that is always open to you 24 hours a day.

7. zCommunity. This is our 1up solution to requests for mapping, signature and photoshop blogs. We will be able to have an unlimited number of blogs.

8. URT AVATARS. This is a project I have in mind that I am hoping thefox or someone will volunteer to pick up and make happen. It is about two hours work for someone who can use Photoshop or a similar program. Basically we want to take all the pictures of funstuff shots (while on the players) and make avatars. Maybe some other pics of each player with different weapons as well. We need a volunteer for this idea.

The forum chat link has now been integrated into the shoutbox. Just look at the top of the shoutbox for the words (Open Chat) and click it and the chat room will open up in a new window.

Also as Ron pointed out in the shoutbox, I have also installed the Ultimate Profile Mod, Xfire Field Mod,  Ajax Chat Mod,  & the Stop Spammer Mod.

The Media Gallery mod is installed on our test forums and after we do some testing on it then it will be added to the live forums as well. ETA approx 2 days.

I would also like to take this time to again point out that this is not a one man job, both myself and Zhalix have been working pretty diligently on making this new forum and he deserves as much credit as anyone else for making it what it is today and I would personally like to thank him for all his hard work.

Anyway thanks for all the positive comments thus far and look forward to more changes to come soon.

Go to a post you have made and click your IP. It doesn't look very pretty for me. (Mac Safari) I tested it in firefox and got the same thing. The text formatting is off and it looks like the background is way too big for the window it makes.

I have looked into it and all that is happening is the popup window does not auto-stretch so the bg image looks cutoff. I will just remove the image entirely and it will look fine. Added to the todo list.
