Compiling Your Map As you can see the interface is fairly simple and believe me, it will save you much frustration. The default settings that I have displayed are the best to start out with. For the rendering options just stick with 'normal'. I like having bot support each time I compile so I can give each change a whirl. This includes running Q3 after each build. Game type just leave at FFA since you'll be able to change it down the road. Hit the 'build' button and a DOS window will pop up showing the rendering process. The editor is building the bsp tree that gives the engine instructions on what to draw and where. That's it!!
