haha, awesome. If someone made something as compatible and easy to use and windows, i would use it....unfortunatly there is no other OS as compatible with everything.

Linux is compatible with everything, Oh, you mean compatible with Windows?
Nope, only Microsoft is compatible with Microsoft.  Everything else is compatible with each other.

Do not worry though, the sinking ship comes with some nice life rafts; Windows 8, Xbox One.  Err, never mind.

Linux is not user-friendly. It _is_ user-friendly. It is not ignorant-friendly and idiot-friendly.

Thanks for the inspiration to create this meme...  :D

hate to say it, but open source, ie linux is not compatible with alot of things. this is not their fault however. the fault lies with the devolpers who are only spending time to write the code for the big players like windows and mac.

Being a gamer is pretty much the only reason i have stayed away from linux. There are alot of games that simply will not run on linux because the codes made it so tbey couldnt, be it intentional or unintentional....then half the times the games that do run, run very unstable....again due to the developers....if linux became even more user friendly, basically adding a totally dumbed down version where ALL you need it gui, and it received more support from developers, i would use it in a heartbeat.

a tiny point for windows though.....at least it looks nice.....lol

yeh a bit off topic sure, but i play ALOT of games. i have somewhere near 400 on my PC, not all installed at any time to save space, but when i have linus for that time, so many of them failed to work and i just cant do it. i need a system that works with all games. not just some or even most. and sadly thats why i use the weaker OS....

I decided to accept what it meant for gaming when I went full Linux at home. Steam has made huge strides for Linux gaming recently,  but there is still a long way to go.

Interestingly, Wine on PC BSD appears to play everything I have seen flawlessly where I had performance and odd graphical problems with the same games under Wine on Linux.

The only reason I didn't fully switch to BSD was to keep running the native Linux Steam client and buying games under it to help support further development.

i agree with steam. they are really plugging away to make it great for linux. but origin seems to be the opposite. it seems like they could care less and i have a good couple games that require it to run...

I have a ton of older games too and love to play then occasionally. Nostalgia and all that
