Keybinds and server rules
« on: November 13, 2010, 11:16:04 PM »
Howdy all, I am a new member, so I apologize if this has been covered (I did not find anything through a search of the forum).  What is 1ups stance on elaborate keybinding/scripting  in their servers?  I can think of a few uses of key binding that I would deem as cheating (such as attack button turns on laser sight, fires, and turns it off, gaining the accuracy but not showing where your target is) but it uses nothing more than the urt client.

My goal is to write a tutorial on zombie tactics (I pretty much only play zombie ts as a zombie) and I wanted to include a section on this if possible.

Hahaha, would you believe that you're the third person today to post a welcome thread?
Welcome to 1up. Feel free to post your Zombie Tactics in the Zombie TS Server board. And also, remember that being a member on the forums doesn't make you a 1up Clan Member.

Hey turba, I'm certain (I'll run tests later)
that such a laser script will work like scope scripts:
It needs to be activated a certain time before it
gains the accuracy. The problem with the wait
command is that it blocks, so it usually isn't
worth it, and instead, be aware, and have muzzle control.

(Of course, I'm going to try this like hell, timescale, thirdperson zoomin, everything)

EDIT:
On the topic of a tutorial, I'd make one, but the essentials includes
Jump well, slice fast, be smart, play smart, heal everyone on your team.

I was thinking along those lines.  I just wanted to clear up that complex bind keys aren't cheating before I shared the knowledge that was graciously shared to me =).  Will work on my tutorial in the respective forum thanks for clearing this up.

Most of my script pack is human based, so I need to work on that.
Also, I love the VSTR capabilities.
I can cycle through a list of my favorite funstuffs, so
when people are targeting me, it becomes difficult.

Also, it seems I can ONLY get the laser script to work with fully auto mode,
as with a semi auto, like a pistol, it only changes once, so it goes
*on*[shoot]*off*[shoot]*on*[shoot]
