Need new video recorder.

Every since i Got my new computer i have been unable to record with fraps. I can record max settings in game and max settings in fraps but when i goto watch the playback it chops every 3 seconds. I already knbow the reason why and i dont feel like correcting it the way fraps or anyone else suggests.

So i need a new recorder that can record up to 720 or 1080p

I used playclaw3....I don't like 4 as much as it crashes my killing floor. with it you can also use an overlay for your FPS, CPU load/temp and GPU load/temp. you can also turn them off as well. It records pretty good quality, minimal to no FPS drop, and you can get a trial version that has yet to expire for me that does everything you really need. I think in the full version you can change the video output type, but I have seen no need to. It throws a floating watermark on the videos for the free one, so if you don't want that, try to find a cracked copy or just pay for it.

if you use the link.......install the file. make sure playclaw is not open and then run the keygen. you will need WinRAR to open the files and all that since they are compressed and all that. I just confirmed that it works great

4 works too. there is a link out there for it, and it might just be that I am using windows 8, or some other reason but like I said, 4 crashes my KF. so you can try them all out, and see what works best or at all for you

Use camstudio!  It's one of the most well respected video recording software.

camstudio is horrible...between the malware it embeds on your computer so that even after your uninstall it, its still reporting information on you to its servers.... to the fact that the recording quality is low, or that its the least used of all the major players because it is the most likely to record a black screen....

I have had very bad experiences with camstudio and know of many other who have as well.....I rather use fraps and I hate fraps...

I personally use recordmydesktop and istanbul, but they are not compatible with Windows.

Try an alternative to recordmydesktop.
Or maybe an alternative to camstudio?

I do not know exactly what type of functionality you are looking for, so this is the best I could provide.
