Title: Game won't save data, even temporarily
Post by: King Whistle[1up] on September 01, 2012, 02:17:52 PM
My KF has gone through phases of degradation. When I first started and the game worked it functioned just like anyone else's. I got on, played, and my stats or perks went up. The 2nd phase was when I would get on and all game perks would be back to lv1 and it would increase as I played during that individual gaming session. But once I got off and closed KF it would delete all the progress I made during that individual sessions. Now the 3rd phase, I get on and like the 2nd phase I would be back at lv1 for everything but now it doesn't even acknowledge my achievements from map to map within one continuous gaming session. Anyone else have or had this problem and know how to fix it?

Open your library from your steam tool in the toolbar. Scroll down to Killing Floor, Right click it and go down to properties. 3rd tab on the new window will have an option to re-verify integrity of game cache. Click it.

yup. had to do that a couple times myself. it usually happens with patches that dont install properly due to mods, or for some way get corrupted during download

Okay I tried it and played a few times and still start from scratch after every map and gaming sessions.

if you auto-download a mutator it will cause your perks to temporarily change to all be reset to 0. I found that if you manually install the mutator (try getting it from Ron or just google it) by putting it in the correct dir. it should work fine
