iPod touch music?
« on: October 30, 2010, 09:19:25 PM »
Alright, so I've got an iPod touch. I want to use the regular music app, because a lot of cool apps use the music in there (song summoner, anyone?)
my issue is that I don't have iTunes, and I want to be able to sync music to my iPod without it. I mainly want an app that will allow me to just use mp3 files I download on my iPod to sync with my iPod. I've been on google a while, and dug through cydia, but I can't find one. Anyone know a good one?

I guess you can't put Flash 10 on your iPod, huh?
Because I was going to suggest an Internet website, http://grooveshark.com . You can get any song into your personal playlist, and it doesnt cost a cent.

Hmm,

Check this one out http://www.copytrans.net/copytransmanager.php . This one works for me, but i am assuming you are looking for an actual app to do this. Anyway can't you look up a free app for sync music from pc to ipod on your market?

Flash can be done through out java script.

Well I'm currently downloading music to the folder dTunes uses, and it's worked fine since I got it. My issue with it is that I can't use my music for apps. I need to be able to sync music to the standard music app, and without using a computer

Winamp now has iPod support.

I used to use one called Anapod Explorer.  Basically views your iPod as if it were an additional harddrive.  You can drag and drop files, organize music into folders, etc.  Also has additional support for the other functions of the iPod.  Downside is its not free.  If interested: http://www.redchairsoftware.com/anapod/

You could just download iTunes.

Or you could jailbreak it if you really wanted to.

It already is jailbroken :D
and I despise iTunes. And refuse to use it. Lol. I usually just ssh into it and copy my music to a folder that a program called dtunes uses. Er, that's what I did at first. Lol. Now I can download music straight from safari on my iPod to that folder. My issue is that I can't use dtunes with music related apps.
