I think that the map cycling would be overpowered with those zombies being inpatient and all that. I think that map cycling should be not allowed for both teams to have an equal amount of gameplay on human/zombie.
-
This is a concern I have been thinking about with the new teamswitch (granted it has yet to play out in the games I have been apart of). Map cycling also changes your team and say you were on a human team with one more player than zombie, you could theoretically stay human by cycling every map your supposed to be a zombie. ((Keep in mind I haven't noticed this as a problem yet))
The current team switch is awesome, and greatly improves the game.

Wait, I'm confused.
If I were to vote 'no' and since the question is 'do not allow map cycle voting', would that mean cycle map voting would stay? Would it go if I vote 'Yes'? What does the scouter say about his power level? How many licks does it take to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop? WHAT? HOW? WHO!!?!
-
This is how it currently works:
Once a vote has been called 1200 seconds must pass before another vote can be called.
1200 seconds = 20 minutes. We can make that delay period longer or shorter to accommodate things.
Even if the problem were to happen, it would hopefully not occur very often. Until it actually becomes a problem, if ever, we will not worry about coding a further solution.
-
I think that 20 mins between cycles would be great, IF we were only allowed to call the vote between rounds 1 and 6.
-
I'm not too familiar with the cycle system but what would happen if these players constantly call map cycles every 20 minutes or so?
-
What about keeping the humans and zombies the same roles when cycling maps? But that option can only last for the first 3 rounds? I almost ragequitted because a bunch of noobs didn't want to play papertown. ITS ****ING PAPERTOWN WHY CYCLE?!
-
Under is right i was there and we had just gotten the human team then they called a cycle map and got back the human team. >:(
-
But honestly, what happens if a cycle is called because a player honestly hates a map? There are one or two maps in the cycle that I'd vote to cycle, regardless of what team I was on.
I think that cycling should only be allowed between a set number of rounds (1-5, for example), and if you cycle a map, the teams are not switched. Just for that one cycle.
