Title: Killing floor videos
Post by: [GM] Legion on November 26, 2012, 05:34:29 PM
I would like to have people download and install some video capture software for while we are doing maps. You can do solid videos, or clips. At that point i would like them emailed to me in which i will compile them into videos for all to see.

When sending a video please include the map and date in the file name ie. hellride1jan.avi

i will make some videos for us, upload them into youtube and we can share with the world out awesomeness

Once again like I mentioned last night (And ignored like always), Killing Floor/Steam comes default with demo commands.

CommandDescription
demoplay demonamePlays the specified demo demoname
demorec demonameRecords a demo as demoname
stopdemoStops recording of a demo

I think I might of caught some of our videos (By accidentally hitting V, which I believe is binded to my record key)

or use that. either way its done, i just want people to record some videos. i can prolly find a way to convert demos to some other format that will be more useable.

It much more simple to get fraps and jsut record parts of the demos instead of trying to convert the whole demo

well, i have delayed a bit, but if i could just set a list of demos to convert, and it could be done automatically, i could have just set it to do overnight. but as i am seeing its not easy....by any means, i will just end up using fraps to record them like mentioned....overnight. though realistically i can only do one at a time....roughly 2 a day. one at night, and one while at work. i refuse to do it while im awake and home since it will remove my ability to use my pc unless i move it to a laptop....of which i am much too lazy to do

You might want to check out MSI Afterburner.
