Stealing Kills

Tonight someone called me a "kill stealer" and it peeved me off. I don't really think you can "steal" anyones kill. My view is that if I can't finish someone off before someone else can then it was their kill - not mine. No one took anything from me.
Even if I do lower their health completely but still don't get the final shot I still never think that they took what was mine.

What do you think?

I guess there is such thing as a kill steal, but there is no way to prevent it.. it's not like you're just going to stand there and wait for your team mate to kill him. It's just one of those things. Happens in every other first person shooter aswell. I voted 'meh'. :P

I 100% agree with you. There is absolutely no such thing as a kill steal. If there's an opponent in sight, you shoot them. If your teammate happened to be shooting them first and you get the kill, then it's their fault that they didn't kill them quicker.

Just remember who called you the kill stealer and next time they are dying in a firefight, go find something else to do. They'll probably complain that you didn't help them. :P

The only thing that annoys me is when I put 90% damage into the person and they run away or someone comes in and shoots them right before I get my last shot off. If a person is shooting and someone comes in and shoots 2+ shots than thats not a kill steal.

I don't mind kill stealers, they normally save my life.   I've stolen kills, but you can't help it.  You see the other person fighting them and you just wanna help out.  It's better then letting them die.  They won't always die, but it seems wrong not to shoot the opposing team.

I've said in the past as a joke "They didn't save my life! They stole my kills!"

Basically whenever I was getting owned and had like 5% left and someone comes in and kills them for me I say that xD

I agree team killing does not exist but the only thing that I dont like is when im having fun with an AFK and another person kills them to get the point.
