Title: Basic Jumps
Post by: Casper on June 12, 2010, 12:06:09 PM
Anyone know the basic jumps a jumping noob would need to learn? im making a jump map for people who dont usually do jumps, and im stumped at what to put next. Jumps are:

1.Basic curve jump (clear a long gap)
2.Basic Wall Jump (clear a longer gap with safe walls)
3.Intermediate Wall Jump (Wall jump to climg a tall ledge)
4.Same as last, but with pegs to jump across. Might just remove this jump.
5.Advanced Wall Jump (Wall Jump to get past a wall, in a cylinder type shape)
6.Advanced Wall Jump (same as last, but requires you to gain height in a cylinder with multiple levels)

Any ideas?

You can find most of those jumps made in a cool map called ut4_happyjumptutorial_beta3

A cool 1up jump map would be nice.

What we really need is another icy map for our 1up IcyJumps Server. You could make one using the surface generator and then texture it up. You could have noob and leet jumps in it like the icy series.

Just open Urban Terror, bring down the console and type: "/connect 208.43.15.8:27960", then you will find it straightway.

XD i will make you some shaders but just to let you know if you open the common folder in your texture browser it shows shadered textures that are invisible in play
so just copy the brush you just made move it up by 1\8 of a grid and it looks like your sliding on the brush XD
