So powermad directory is wrong :(

corrcect path should be: models/mapobjects/athens/atlas.ase or .obj or .md3 or .md5

Anyways im going to chuck as much detail as i possibly can into this map, im also going to start to learn a modelling program and make player models :D

Yes but as a modeller i would have thought the first thing you would have done is ripped apart the zpak ....... :/
Thats atleast what i would have done and seen how the directory system is constructed.......

Ok so I know this sounds rather n00bish but I experimented with patch meshes and making terrain :D

lol true there has been like 4 maps finished from 1up mappers and most of them are tank.
While the other 50 ideas have came and gone.

Oh yeah and ive done some thinking and ive figured out why my maps are all retarted.

When I map I make a box the think of things to fill it with. so my map ends up like a box with obstacles, unlike a professional map for example abbey. Abbey is like a maze with small choke points narrow hallways and not much open areas.

My maps just endup being really open and if one were put on the server it would just end up being a SR8 spawn camp battle.


Good observations Inka. With Science I attempted to follow a formula (gameplay flow) found in other maps. I did not do a very good job in the end, And its a bit of a cluster.. I just keep refining it. :P  Version 1.0 was drawn on paper many times.. lots of erasing. After that ive just freehanded it.. thus the cluster.
