Im thinking about making a map like this for tdm, but like this:
x=red spawn
o=blue spawn
x-------------o
x-------------o
x-------------o
maybe 5 rows instead of three. a bit unconventional, i have no idea how well itll play. id player and bot clip the sides, so you can only stay in your row, but you can shoot to others. any thoughts?
EDIT: btw, the item blocks are usable. they break and reveal a used item block. any ideas of practical uses? id make them dispense guns but idk how lol

Make them dispense Kevlars. It's a Jump map, so Kevlars are gonna be a pain in the back. :)

Haha the problem is the look of it though. the pads work perfectly, i just need to make them look better. The sprite has white areas all around :( Also, i clipped the edges so you cant fall off. Any way to make it so you cant wall jump on them? it ruins the map lol i can practically fly across with wall jumping

The level has 2 bases. They are on opposite sides of the level. There are 3 narrow paths between them, making it almost like a 3d Mario game. I want the edges clipped so that you can't fall of except in the places I add. I want the edges clipped, and non wall jumpable. I also want to be able to shoot between the 3 paths, and from base to base. Adding slick made the clipping stop weapon fire. I need to clip the edges, disable walljumps from the clips, and still be able to shoot through the clips

I was actually thinking about that whole other level thing. Im thinking for FFA mode, the bottom will be opened up and the top wont be clipped. I was gonna add a bunch of decoration like mushrooms sliding around and such, but i might make it good for playing on too.

I was hoping we could get a bunch of people testing it. I dont know how to set up a server though, so id love for someone to set up a server. Maybe when flame gets back, he can run it on sw00ns server... Anyway, its far from ready for testing. theres still way too many things to work out

Lol yeah. they dont match the 8 bit look of everything, cuz i cant seem to get the size right. It still looks pretty good though. more screenies will be up once i fix the lighting, some of the textures, and add a bit more to the bottom level

And im stuck again. How do i make a brush climbable? i need a shader that will be climbable, but invisible. I looked in common shaders, but couldnt find the ladder

Just realized i dont have the slightest idea how to use shaders. hahaha. Ive only ever used the common shaders. How do i add it so i can apply the shader in gtk, and how do i package it in the pk3?
