Server Bot help

hey, me and my friends play UrT at school. but i want to add bots to the server. i made a bot.cfg and had it as:

addbot Puma 4 Blue 89 =lvl4=Puma

it was that to test it but it said "unknown command"

i nevered used bots in my past servers so help is appreciated

I have 2 .cfgs, one for setup, one for adding bots.

Now, you get an unknown command... Sounds like your cfg says /addbot rather than addbot.
CFG files interpret each line as a comman, so adding the / makes it interpret as a /, not a command.

i know. thats why im baffled. my server cfg has set enable_bot 1 then a different cfg should add them

I see, you put it in your auto exec.

You see, when you try to reload or addbots while in the menu, it doesn't work.
Simply start up the server, bot_enable should be 1 with your autoexec,
and then either through the console (LAN/WAN) or in your in-game console(non dedicated)
then exec the addbots.

And Term, the site is spreading lies/misinformation:

/addbot <type> <level> <team> <ping> <server nick>

It's not ping, IT'S MS DELAY BETWEEN CONNECTING AND JOINING THE BATTLE.

Okay, are you using dedicated or not?
How are you sending commands?

Is it just the default client you get from the UrT site, or did you download a custom client?

I used that site and did everything it said on it and we play on severs all the time. On the dedicated sever we choose no and we can all connect. It won't work unless you put no.

If you put dedicated LAN, it  will start a server for you network (Local Area Network) with the Server Console, and you start up the client to play on it.

Hmm, sounds like an OS specific problem...
I can't really help beyond that, but for simple LAN get-togethers,
non dedicated works fine.
