Ah, only use it in CTF, but only on certain maps...

You are right you can use smokes to catch hackers but allways spectate, i once got kicked from a server because i was shooting at where i saw the flashes from enemy guns, so they thought i was using aimbot, it was so annoying, make sure to spectate!

I actually like to use smoke, I don't equip it though. It is a little like camping, in some situations it is useful and others it is just wrong.

Smoke has really only been useful for CTF or Bomb. It's a useful tactic for TDM if you keep ahead of the other team and smoke a good place to use it and tac goggles. But you really have to be fast about it.

I was just about to say the same exact thing... and that 1up doesn't really seem to be a CTF clan.

Are you guys kidding? I pwn up with smoke nades! Untli I realize that I'm throwing them into my own teammates >.>
Lololol jk, I don't use smoke nades...unless I pick them up. At which point I just throw them randomly at walls which usually bounce back into me. I'm a nade magnet :D
I also don't use tacs too much, just for TDM :P

I know its an old topic but I wanted to chime in. I like smoke when there are no bots around. Bots can see right through it and it becomes an advantage for them. I also avoid smoke if I notice the other team is heavily tac'd. Otherwise, I don't carry smoke, but will use it strategically when I pick it up. Usually, if I pick it up and there are bots or the other team has tacs, I will simply drop them without releasing the smoke, and I usually drop them somewhere that I dont think someones gonna come along and pick them right up.
My turn.

Smoke is great when used wisely, but terrible when thrown around like candy at a parade. My personal favorite use is in Riyadh, where everyone wants to be a sniper.

Run up behind the hill to the right. Throw one straight over the hill, and one slightly to the right, count to five (while charging up) and then sprint > jump > slide into the enemy base. Then proceed to drop real nades behind everyone that thought sniping was a good idea. The main hiccup in this tactic is bots... but when it works, it WORKS!
