Ok so the other day I went against my instincts and upgraded to 11.04, now Urban Terror runs like poo. I have all the same settings, but now for some reason I get major fps drops (down to 10 or so) for seemingly no reason. I was just wondering if anyone else is having this problem. Using the nvidia proprietary driver ver. 270.41.06. Anyone else have this problem or find a work around?

if you have compiz try using: metacity --replace
and you have some problems with the crosshair ? or just fps drop ? no problems to aim ? also can you download maps ? because I went throw all that ****.

I don't run compiz, I use openbox for my window manger and xcompmgr for compositing the desktop. I have tried killing xcompmgr before launching UT but still has problems. No problems with the crosshair or the auto download though.

Ahh this looks like what I am looking for Swoon. Also I just noticed I am 5 versions behind current on the nvidia driver (time to switch to a rolling release I suppose). So I will update that too to see if that helps. Thanks!
