No More Sr-8! It has been replaced by the French FR-F1 sniper rifle.

I'm actually kinda interested in whether they're expanding the magazine... the FR-F1 is a bolt-action with a 10 round magazine I think... so if they give it the stopping power of the SR8 (which I'd assume they would) and more bullets than the PSG, it could be a monster...
I'm kinda looking forward to the new shotgun and the magnum myself, been having fun messing around on pubs with the Sr8 SPAS DE :D

But I loves my SR8 and it's lovely BOOM, and the mechanical sound as the bolt is slid and a new round is chambered :'(
However... if the power and accuracy remains the same on the new rifle, I'll be happy... but I'll still miss my faithful SR8... oh the wonderful days of taking people out of the air with a well-timed shot, and the reassuring sound as you fire that confirms for you that they ain't gettin' up from THAT! 8)
But yeah, 10 round clip with the same accuracy and power... >:D

hmm idk if 5 extra bullets would make the sr8 that much better but it would be useful for sure.
also if they take off 100% damage in the torso with a snipe. i will uninstall

Means 5 more bullets per clip. I dunno about you but I run out of ammo on Riyadh and Battlefield if I'm on a roll.
I'm with you on the uninstall thing too.

ur assuming they wont balance out the ammo so u have the same amount of bullets or less...
when i snipe in ts i hardly use the 5 bullets. i usually just reload when i have 2 or so but people that can actually snipe might find it more useful than me

The engine has gone a few generations ahead, so the art will too. This F1 replacement is only a change to how it looks. The specs like damage, reload time, clip size and all that will be the same. We are not going to change the specs.
Right now a lot of people like it, and a lot don't. I was told that in 2.6 (I think) the m4, the weapon that everyone used at that point, was removed for the lr300. Everyone hated it and they wanted the m4 back. After a few weeks there was no more whining and in the next version nearly nobody used the m4. This is exactly the same situation.
I also really like the Sr8 but after using the F1 for just an hour I'm used to it, I already forgot the Sr8. Just give it a chance and the same thing will happen to you.

WOOT this means I won't have to keep reloading so many times in SUPER TS!!! (I'm used to quick snipe glitching so every 20< seconds gotta reload again =P)

well the gun will have the same damage, reload time, clip size, and pretty much everything else
its gonna look different thats about it

Only Negative Thing about the new Snipe is the Reload.
Idk About any of you guys, but i liked having 5 shots, last shot can be shot, then a quick DE.

I don't care about the sr8 or any snipers rifle.. :-X.if they touch MY M4, :grr: theyr dead...I love it... :Pthe m4 for me is all weapon in one.. it can knife, snipe, spray, etc like killing people too :omg:
