I was wondering if I could play on Steam with you guys if I have the Disc Game for L4D2?

L4D2 is a steam game. It is from Valve. That means it is required for you to have steam installed for you to play the actual game. Just download steam and start adding peoples Steam usernames.

Yes you can play with the disk version.  You can add any game to Steam.  Install L4D2, add it to Steam, and you're good to go.

Unless you are talking about the game on Xbox or something(which no you couldn't play with us on). Maddog adding this game manually is completely unnecessary because it is a valve game it is required that you log in to steam before you use it. Which means you are required to be in steam. All he has to do from there is add his friends to his friends list so that he can see them online. He doesn't have to add it to the "non steam games" Because it is a steam game.
