i have AT&T unlimited data... and if you have a jailbreak iphone theres a program called MyWi 4.0.. its a one time payment of $20.00 and turns on with a push of a button.. ive used it a lot, not to run urt, but it doesnt affect my phone bill at all..  whereas if you were to buy a tethering plan through the provider it would be like $40/mo.

This is why you should buy an Android, kids.

Paying $20 for an app that you can't even use unless you've jailbroken your iPhone (which means no-one with the latest version of iOS) to provide functionality available for free on Android...

But seriously though, isn't $20 a bit steep for such an app?  ???

Jailbreaking is freakin easy and almost always available for the latest iOS version the next day. I tether for free. ;)

Perhaps, but Android allows you to install non-marketplace apps by ticking a checkbox, so unlocking them isn't always necessary. As for the jailbreaks on the latest iOS, last I checked you had to be tethered to the PC that performed the jailbreak. The devs may have made more progress since, I haven't checked, but it appears to be getting increasingly difficult to jailbreak iOS devices; so if updates come through from Apple and you rely on a jb'd iPhone I'd do some very careful googling before accepting the update. ???

well i didnt pay the $20.. some guy at my job has an itouch and wanted internet so he bought it for me bc my phone was jailbroke..  so i tether for free technically. but a one time fee of $20 is a lot cheaper than paying $40+ a month to a provider..
