Bind help
« on: July 07, 2010, 04:54:26 PM »
Okay, so I've never really binded. I don't use my F# keys because it's a two button key press to reach them and I have the common u commands memorized (at least the ones I use the most). However, I'm looking to bind my location to something, when I'm playing a small TS match or something. I'm also looking to bind /save and /load for jump maps.

So firstly, I'm thinking of using regular number keys. So far, I know this:

1: Knife
2: Nades
3: Pistol
4: Sidearm
5: Main Weapon

I was wondering if 6-9,0 were binded by default to anything?

Finally, I'm wondering how to bind. I think it's something like this but I don't want to get it wrong:

/bind <key> <what you want to bind to>

The two key ways to bind are:

/bind <key> say 'in bed'

/bind ut_radio 3 3 I need a Medic! HEAL ME!!

'3 3' is the radio command number.  For your stuff you need to:

/bind <key> save

/bind <key> load

/bind <key> say I'm @ $location with a $weapon

I do not believe 6-0 are binded default. You should be able to use them.

So how would I change the text in my radio menu? Basically, I still want to be able to type u,3,3 and have the sound "I need a medic" but I would like to display "I need a medic! / Necesito un medico!" instead

So Zhalix was asking me what I was talking about. I'm trying to figure out how to redo the radio menu text. Like I want to press the u to bring up voice command menu, but I want the text to differ. I do not want to bind a key to it. I want to use radio menu. I want to be able to change them to Spanish and English.

I don't think you can do that.

No. I want to edit my entire radio list. And I just checked my config. These are my only unbinded letters:
