QuArK?
« on: May 02, 2010, 05:24:44 PM »
Hello, everyone, first post...

I'm thinking of switching to GtkRadiant 1.5 or QuArK to start making maps for UT. Can QuArK be used at all? Do you have a preference for GtkRadiant 1.5 over QuArk? ...or should I stick with 1.4?

Thanks, I look forward to seeing you and shooting you ;) on the 1up server.

Cheers,

BV

I'm not a mapper, but I have GTK Radient installed on my system, and from what I can tell, its very good.  All the mappers here at 1up use it.  I've never even heard of QuArk, so even if it were a good program, if you ever had any issues, there wouldn't be anyone who could help you.

Check out SnKTank's mapping tutorial.  It explains in detail how to install and configure GTK Radient, as well as a few other useful mapping programs (compilers, etc).  Link here: http://www.1upclan.info/forum/index.php?topic=2116.0
