Title: Mapping Tools
Post by: Flame[1up] on September 10, 2011, 02:49:37 PM
I am making a desktop application for some of you mappers to have mapping tools.

--Ideas--
So this is what I plan to have

I would also appreciate it if some of you would post here any ideas

--Progress--
LandScape GUI(Graphic User Interface) is done and I am working on the Block gen. code.
Shader Maker works 50% percent

Just for any of you looking at the Shader Maker Pic and looking at DLOLD.mp and being like(that isnt a shader)

Its a "MyPack" it stores serveral things at once at specific settings :)

like DLOLD holds slick and trans I believe :)

Still Working on Block Gen. code moving it from AutoIt to Java is a little tricky :|

I am working on an Image Generator for the Shader so you can automaticly make the checker things like Cushion and Slick for your shaders :)

and Have the Length part of my LandScape Gen working now for the width :)

Will upload Screenies Later

Since that actually makes shaders.
So, all your script does is make surfaceparms?

Sorry for Triple Post

No it does not only make SurfaceParms its a chain of windows, the construction line as follows

1.If you have an Image to Apply the Shader to Select it and go to Step 3.
If not then go Create a new Image.

2.Use Image Creator to Create your own Image.

3.Use SurfaceParms Window to Add/Subtract SurfaceParms.

4.Other Stuff such as

P.S. It automaticly puts in the Texture Directory :)

Looks awesome  ;)
I'm new here, also new to the game. I've used mapping tools from Unreal, going back to Postal 2, now I've been mapping more into Unreal Tournament 3. This however, caught my eye.  :o Although I'm not familiar to these mapping techniques, I would like to attempt, to create something interesting. I have experience creating meshes (3DsMax, Photoshop CS5, ZBrush & FaceGen) although the last two programs don't capture my interest, I've used them before. Anything you need help with, I'd be more than honored.  :D
