OK, I know, I am a tad late >.>


Schedule:
1st day:Public[1] votes on theme for the modelers to model via replying to this thread
2nd-6th:Modelers will model the selected theme and post the results on this thread[2]
7th:Public Shall Vote[3]

I wish everybody luck in the contest.

and also everybody give a big hand to last week's winner Cell[1up] :D
 1. Public is defined as somebody that isnt competing in the contest
 2. Any Results that were not posted before the end of the 6th day shall not be voted on.
 3. Any Vote Before the end of the 6th day or after the 7th day shall not count

So 500 vertices? that seams a bit small but could be good for practice :D

I know it's small, but that's just it.
A good Low poly designer is wat him makes special and good, because all the rest is just texture  ;)
You don't need to make all the special things and extras for a game, because means they need to render more, > more cpupower, > bla bla bla  It's the art to stay low with the polys
But if you really want a higher value, than you say a number :)

500 poly=500 polygons=500 faces, so would end up probably somewhere between 600-800 verts.

I wouldn't have a problem restarting the contest, if some of the people of the public would vote :O

Yeah, public votes count as 30 percent...
But we also need a jury xD
Like Ronald,Quake and Zhalix maybe? :p they are the other 70 percent of the votes

Yea sure that sounds good. it will make me focus more on being conservative :)
