Title: ut4_battlefield Final Release!

the other post seemed too crowded so i figured this could be the release thread for my map(s) so lets see, there seems to be a few bugs like staring off in the distance and seeing foggy green, but other than that an invisible brush or two. heh have fun guys!

Post some screenies? Its just kind of a hastle to dl it and put
it in the urt folder then start up a priv server to look at it lol.

I repackaged it myself to check it out. You still have the same issue with the sky. Start looking at this thread for help:

Where are these items located:

textures/cardigan_skies/plainblack
textures/cardigan_skies/glass1
textures/cardigan_skies/nebula1_purple_stars
textures/cardigan_skies/vx_nebula1_purple
textures/cardigan_skies/vx_pervert
textures/cardigan_skies/nebula1_purple_lightning
textures/cardigan_skies/nebula1_orange_stars
textures/cardigan_skies/vx_nebula1_orange
textures/cardigan_skies/nebula1_orange_lightning

......plenty more of those items (a very, very long list) but you do not have a "cardigan_skies" in your texture, you have a "textures/cardigan_skies1"

thats because to have the sky cardigan_skies is a shader so they are not textures anymore. so thats why the env folder is in there adn i only have cardigan_skies1.

Certainly something is wrong with how your shy shader connects to the six pictures of "purewhite" (.tga). Why not remove excess garbage from your shader.

Looks like you fixed the problem with the sky. All shaders and textures are in place. A few bugs, but okay. Should I make an aas file for it?

Looks like it could be a pretty sweet pistols and nades or snipers only map (I guess with bots, snipers and pistols :P)

Seems a little small for autos especially with a medium to heavy traffic load IMO.  Cool map though, time to download.

well ron i need to add all those bot entities and such which should be ready soon for ut4_battlefield_b3 (i am adding the botcamps and botroams)

There is a blue flag for CTF but no red flag. Why? Can't play CTF then. Also, the sky problem is an issue for me again all the sudden, that is with this new pk3 file. Did you change something?

I have a server at home for my son who plays CTF. We run a bunch of maps including arena1 and arena2 (I made aas files for them to have bots and they work awesome). Loaded up Battlefield tonight and the sky was a problem and when we were playing CTF there was no red flag. Bots seemed to move well though. Let me know when it is fixed.

im having some major issues for some reason my textures went out last night (fixed as well), lost BOTH flags (in the middle of fixing) and some ground disappeared (in the middle of fixing) ll these little bugs are annoying.

Ron: This is not the bot version, i will send you the bot compatible version via email. I got this  8)

well is there a specific name for each one? i always use info_ut_spawn for team matches, and info_player_start for ffa's

Spawn and Respawn are different.

Here is the simple explanation: http://bubba.planetquake.gamespy.com/team2.html

In a nutshell:

Now  it's  time  to   place  all  of  the  spawing   enties  that  will
allow red and blue players to beat the snot out of eachother.
Here are all of them with a list their functions:                                 
1.   team_CTF_redplayer = allows a player to join red team.     
2.  team_CTF_blueplayer = allows a player to join blue team.
3.  team_CTF_bluespawn = allows blue player to respawn.     
4.  team_CTF_redspawn = allows red player to respawn.         
5.  info_player_start = The same old spawn used to get you
            into your map.         
When placing the team spawn points in your map it's a good
idea to have as many spawns as players you plan to allow in
the map.  Otherwise you'll end up with telefragged goo. Start
by placing the blue team by right-clicking on the 2-D window
and selecting "team_CTF_blueplayer".  Place the entities as
pictured below or at least within the parameter of your team
base.   This  will  allow  players  to  join  the blue team.  Now do
the same with "team_CTF_bluespawn".  These will be where
players  from  the  blue team will reappear after being killed.

I thought you had been working on hosting that map the whole time. but really you have just been waiting for me to say I: ALREADY GAVE YOU THIS.

Okay. The confusion is YOUR fault, not mine. Next time just have the common sense to put a link below a final version that you then update 3 or 4 times and each time calling it a final version.  Now that you finally put an unambiguous link for me, I will upload it to our servers. And, as for the "bot" version, not really necessary.

I saw some people on the "banana" platform. How do you get there? And how come they can shoot me from the side but I can only shoot them from front or back?
