Hey 1ups,

Dismal is going to be my first completed map. It's pretty much done now. It may go on the fun server if I can work out how to make it bot compatible.

There is only a .bsp file in your pk3. You have no references to shaders, to an .arena file, or to anything else. You might want to correct some of those things. Also, what gametypes does this map support? An .arena file tells that information. A .aas file is easy to make. Just throw your .bsp file into a .bspc output and it will generate an .aas (arena awareness system) file for you that bots can travel upon. There is much more to it than that, but the 1st part is to see if it will work. Since your .bsp is very light it will probably work on the Fun Server without causing crashes. But you should clean up your textures first. All in all, I like your starting product.

At the moment it supports TDM, TS and CTF. I've been trying to create a .aas file but I cant get it to work. I'm not really experienced with this stuff so I don't really know what I have to do with the textures and such.

...a pk3 with just a bsp...it would have been the same to just leave it as a bsp.

read through all the packaging your map tuts. They used to all be there, but most of them have been taken away. Sorry bout your luck, but it's really simple after the you first look at it.

I wanted to upload just the .bsp but it doesn't allow you to upload that file type. Ok, I'll take a look at the tutorial. Thanks.

Well, I just tested it with bots and it crashed :(. So, I don't really know what to do from here.

If you have any custom maps in the q3ut4 directory bots will crash any map,  that's the first thing to check... if you're in a clean install without custom maps, then I can't help you :D

Really? Well yeah, I have lots of custom maps in my q3ut4 folder, but I need them. I guess that's why I was supposed to make a complete copy of my urban terror folder when I began mapping.

Actually Mike, I have a few custom maps imported for mapping that don't crash when I put bots on battlefield. > : P

sv_pure 0 will give you more room to run bots, but 1up servers, of course, only run pure (sv_pure 1).

I am finished apart from a few things. I cannot work out what I need to put in the pk3 file for the sky shader to work and the same thing for the shader common/invisible. Once I fix those two things, it is done.
