Please do not take this the wrong way, but there were a lot of people who were not on the roster who played in the A server.  They caused the scores to get WAY out of wack. 

I went through all the stats and took out everyones kills and deaths who were not on the official roster, and it changes up the top 3 spots. 

*** IMPORTANT NOTE... I am NOT suggesting you change the rankings, I am just pointing out that you guys cost good players their spots, and caused the teams to be way off.  It was unprofessional of you all to do something like that. ***

Here are the adjusted stats.  civil still won, but now Merky got 2nd, and beast got booted from the top 3.  Thor still wound up taking 3rd.

People who were not registered for the tournament were welcome to come and play.  This was our plan from the very beginning, so really, no one lost their spot.  :)

I get what you're saying though.  We may change how we do the next tournament.

The server's were meant to stay open and live for anyone looking to play. It adds that extra challenge to it.

No I did not make a trophy for myself I was talking about the images I made for the winners :) Just patting myself on the back cuz it took all of 10 mins to make.

Perhaps 1 server running the tournament map rotation without bots a week or even for 24 hours in advance so noobs like me can learn all those maps in the TDM environment. I got destroyed on some of those maps, But i had fun and will be back. Thanks 1up. Well executed tournament.

I need an easy way to learn them. : )

Servers seemed to stay pretty full 24 hours up till and probably wouldnt need bots.

well. i guess i will register for it next time. and probably inter b or a league. c was a bit easy. 17th in a. i played for 15 mins. lol. but this is the first i heard of this. keep it up. ohh and if i could get emails on up coming cups. that would be sweet.

Start out slow and jump into B first ;) Even though i'd like to have more opponents, It's a pretty big competition curve from C to A.

Zhalix and I were in spec for some of it (I had to leave after a little while), and it's clear that next time we should do better to make sure the teams are even.  I think that as people join the server, the admins in spec should look at the scores and adjust the teams so that each has approximately the same quality.  This would not only even the teams in numbers, but in quality as well.  For instance, the top two scorers would be placed on opposite teams. If there is a third player who is not far behind the top two in terms of score, he could be placed on the team with the second place player.  The fourth and fifth place players could then be added to the team with the first place player, and it goes on from there, I think you get the idea.  This would only need to be done once or twice per game, at the most.  This would be better than the current system, which relies on the players themselves to balance the teams.  It would also take care of "Noob Entrance Phenomena," where noobies join the server, get killed by civil 16 times, and with 0 kills and 16 deaths, decide to leave.  If they start to give too many "free" kills to one team, we analyze the quality of each team, and compensate.  Overall, I think this would make a noticeable difference in terms of fairness.  Another thing to consider: no friendly fire.  If it were just civil, beast, merky, thor, khali, etc. then I would say FF is essential.  But, with so many noobies and tk'ers coming in and out of the game, this could cause problems and ruin peoples scores.  Just some things to consider.

Many times I was against civil/kenny/another good player in many combinations. I didn't mind the harder team because I wanted to challenge myself, however there was teamstacking. Civil did help balance the teams now and then but it still did not prevent there being 3-4 competitive players one one team against me and usually merky or someone else.

Also jetnet, on your adjusted scores. My scores were ultimately lower, because GoogleIT kept nade charging me over and over (I confess that I got some 15+ kills off of him alone :D. In ways it gave me an advantage over the others in score) This proves your argument that non-registered players affected the scores. I intentionally went after the harder players for the challenge to my own skill: ultimately resulting in more deaths for me.

Now admins, understand that my argument is not greedy by any means. I am not making these statements to further my chances for monetary gain. I just think the openness of the servers were a disadvantage to all.

Hopefully in the future, the problem can be fixed by getting more players to join.

If not, here is my recommendation for the future: (on a locked server)
1. Make the first map a non-stat tracked map.
2. Have the admin adjust the teams, after watching the first map, to get a good even balance of the teams.
3. Start the stats with map 2.
4. Swap the colors(g_swaproles?) of the teams every now and then so that players are not stuck on advantaged/disadvantaged sides constantly. (remember, blue has an advantage on turnpike due to color and spawn location.)
