where can i get the latest version of gtkradiant and where can i find some tutorials to try out so i figure out how to set flags, spawns, how to save etc.

because the first map ima try and do will be a two story high school.

yea. i was gonna make a replica of my highschool for the map. :p and there would be some secret passages like my locker and a couple others would be portals into the security rooms and you can get onto the roof and even in a school bus. :p

I could never get gtkRadiant installed on my Mac. Any ideas why?
