Hi, I'm a new member at 1up and needs some help. I am also new to Urban Terror 4.1 and would like to upgrade to 4.2!
I used the PlayDeb2 deb repository to get Urban Terror and not sure how to update via PlayDeb2. I know there is the UrTUpdater but not sure if it would recognize my Urban Terror version which I did not download at the UrT official website. I am using Ubuntu 13.04! :-\ :(

I will answer that last question. There are a lot of things to know. First things first, if you want to use the Clan Tag you need to be a member of 1up. To become a member you have to apply here: http://www.1upclan.info/cforms/apply_form/index.php
If you use the tag on our servers, you will get kicked. For questions you can also join our Teamspeak 3 server. Good luck.

Let me put this plainly. I use Linux, and I am a gamer.
First of all, Play4Linux is a nice application for getting those Windows programs to work in Linux, but the software such as Urban Terror may not be the latest version. However, Urban Terror is cross platform compatible, so why not just install the game from the source (http://www.urbanterror.info/downloads/#1.4)?
Once you have downloaded the game, just simply extract the file into your home folder, or a game folder. Once it is extracted, simply click the updater to update the game. You can use 32bit or 64bit, according to your cpu type. Then when you want to play the game, just execute the launch file. You may want to create a shortcut or link to the updater and launch files so you can add them to your favorites.

First download ts3 here http://www.teamspeak.com/?page=downloads after that start talking and hanging out with us on teamspeak. There are also a few requirements to become a 1up member like applying for xfire and game tracker. When you file the application to become a member you will have to be patient, because it many take awhile. You can read the application format, and if you do not understand some of it you can ask us on ts3 like sander's mentioned. Thanks for asking us.

Thanks for ur help everyone. I am wondering if the UrTUpdater will recognize my Urban Terror 4.1, and not download the whole of UrT4.2, just update my version.
Also, do I HAVE to wait 2 MONTHS to be a member of the clan.

The UrT 4.1 and 4.2 are completely different and 4.2 must be downloaded separately.
Also yes we are selective of who gets into the clan and if people do not know you they will not vote for you.
Hang out with us on TS3 and get to know us, be active in the forums, and decide if this is the right clan for you.

I've got the UrTUpdater. Am I supposed to just launch the x86 file. I did that and started downloading. Would it download normally as it is an extracted tar.gz ball. Hopefully it loads into my directory but if not plz can someone notify me of what to do.
Anyway, I've got rubbish Intel Iron lake Mobile Graphic, and is that good enough to play some other games?
On TS3 is it only microphone chat or also type chat
