I wanne keep improving myself in the Urban Terror game and I everyday practise with different weapons, items, settings,...
Now my question here is: Wat are your control settings you guys use?
Like I use on a AZERTY-keyboard:

You might want to stick to one keyboard, I use QWERTY.
Try setting all your network settings to the best possible:
/rate 25000
/cl_maxpackets 49
/com_maxfps 120
If you have low FPS, try changing r_picmip
0 = most detail
1 = good detail (/r_picmip 0,1, or 2)
2 = bad detail
I know some people who use ESDF instead of WASD, maybe you could try that if you wanted to, I did once, but I couldn't move for sh*t, so I went back to WASD ???
So here are some of my binds:
W - Forward
A - Left
S - Back
D - Right
F - Open doors / defuse bomb
Z - Zoom in
X - Zoom reset (don't ever use it)
C - Crouch
V - Crouch
Q - Medic
E - Sprint
R - Reload
G - Drop weapon
SHIFT - Walk

The only things I have changed from the standard UrT setting is changing sprint to shift and walk to e. Also a couple binds on my number keys (2-Drop flag 3-Drop weapon 4-Drop kevlar 5- radio lol 6 ZMLR gear binds - 7 G36 Gear binds 8- sr8 gear binds 9-my alias config 0-my zang config)
I'm not all that adventurous with my settings. Just what I need and what I'm used to.

Different location is meaning as in. Say in team chat right, left, froward, back.
Also my load and save is now op and k is /kill. :P

u guys cheat. i just use the standard urban terror controls. well i changed the numbers to be radio binds i guess. i didnt even change the packets thingey or my rate (wtf is rate) i think i should know this stuff...

I find it much easier just to give you guys my q3config.
p.s. just make sure to take your q3config out before you put mine in or it will rewrite your q3config :)

Mine's all the general stuff except for:
U- drop Kevlar
6- drop weapon
p- drop silencer
right click mouse - zoom
and I scroll to change weapons (much easier with superts)
I just pushed random keys and memorized them. So I don't recommend the above. Guess I should go bind a few more things.

p - execute jump binds script (set 'q' and 'w' to be save/load)
k - execute weaponscroll config (scrollwheel through weapons)

Like "a" For sprinting? damn, and "g" for drop weapon...
And this > Shift for walking? are you kidding me? my pinky doesnt reach that far!! :omg:
My problem is: That I never used and can't walk.. :-[ I don't know wat key to bind it to...
When I want to be silent I always crouch... :p

Basically you press select item the press use item so that you can enable or disable stuff. Example: silencer, laser.

imo(at least since i dont use my pinky for movement) it should be active. use all 5 fingers for movement if you can, God gave you 5, so use them. ;)

xD my shift is med/heal. xD so my pinky gets a workout.

If you're using WASD and your pinky doesn't reach left shift, lolwut.
To bind SHIFT to walk, just do this:

my sensitivity is about 32 cm per 360
bearcat's is about 40 cm per 360
it's uncomfortable at first, but the sooner you do it, the better. get over 25 cm/360

so pretty much the regular, but with a few minor adjustments that i like =D (and because my keyboard's aren't the best... they are split into sub category's, and it makes it so i can only use 2 keys in any given category at one time... (i.e) i cant hold down W+E+Space at the same time... hence Shift being my main sprint, so i can still effectively power jump/power slide.. (although i did get to a point where i could power jump and slid despite only being able to use 2 keys at a time, and before i switched it from the default!) but E is also sprint, just in case iv been using my bros comp for to long and get used to it his way....)
and that's the end of my little rant on control configuration ! =D

whahahahaha -wtf is rate, actually i shouldn't laff, i learned on the standard install settings years ago, some peeps suggested i switch some sensitivities and whatnot, got my ass kicked for days trying to give the new settings a chance, then went back to what works for me! [u know what they say, u can't teach an old dog new tricks!] ;)
the only thing I DID change was the reload, can't find the 'R' key for sh*t when i'm under fire, so i use the 'mousewheel çlick-down', but that gets me in trouble sometimes too! when i need to scroll to a new weapon in a hurry and it starts reloading 'cause i scrolled to hard.... acccckkKKK!!!! ::)
