Dear 1up Community,

If anyone is willing to help port the fabulous 1up ModRcon program that Tesla[1up] made to Java so that we can use it cross platform (Mac, Linux, Windows), I would like to start that up. If you have any experience with Java (school, work, hobby, etc), then please let me (Pyrite) know. The GUI will use the Swing toolkit, and we are using Netbeans IDE.

We have now implemented our new demo posting area which you should use when posting demos of suspected cheaters. This new form is much easier to use then our previous method and allows us to keep backups of the demos in case anything should happen to the forums in the future.

If you encounter any problems with the new demo system (files not downloading etc..) the send me a PM or reply to this post with the following info so I can track down the problem.

• Your browser & version info (ie. Firefox 3.6.6. Internet Explorer 8, Opera 9, etc)
• Your OS: (ie. Windows XP SP2, Mac OSX, Ubuntu 10.04, etc)
• How you tried to download the file: (ie, Using a download manager or standard HTTP download method)
• Any other information that may help isolate the problem.

Zhalix and myself spent most of the night redoing the forum menu to make it less cluttered and more user friendly. 99% of the work was done by Zhalix so a big thanks goes to him for all of his hard work and we hope you like the new additions.

I will never understand what people get out of this site but people seem to love it for whatever reason and gh_speedyg[1up] requested that we add it to the member profiles and being the kind soul that I am, I obliged. Anyway if you would like to add your twitter account to your profile then follow the steps below.

1.) Click here to access your forum profile.

2.) Scroll down to the very bottom of that page until you see the words "Twitter Username"

3.) In the box to the right of this text enter your Twitter Username (do not add a url as it will automatically be added for you, just the username will suffice)

4.) Click on the "Change Profile" button and your done.

A Twitter icon (which links to your twitter page) will now appear in any post that you make and on your member profile page and that is about all there is to it.

I know this old news now but the site / forum updates have been completed. I will not go into detail about all that was added / changed since most of you have already discovered the changes for yourselves but I just wanted to make an official announcement to let everyone that the updates are complete (for now anyway) and I  hope you enjoy the new 1up site and forums.
